For the love of fall

I really dig this time of year. The crisp nights, the breezy afternoons, the rich, saturated reds on all the trees. It's so beautiful. Everything is still trying to hold onto summer and I am not alone. I look forward to summer all year long so saying goodbye to it is bittersweet. So long summer, hello chunky knits, heavy luxe scarves and leather (or vegan if that's your thing) jackets.

May Daydreams

Summer is kinda almost here. It is Memorial Day weekend after all. Here in Northeast PA, we had a few days of incredible 80 degree weather and then today I woke up to temperatures in the 40s. Mother Nature cannot seem to make up her mind.
Nonetheless, summer plans are underway including a much needed trip down to Philadelphia to visit friends and enjoy all the beautiful things the city has to offer to help kick off the best season of the year.
Until then, here are some of my favorite photos from the last few weeks.

March on...

March is more than halfway over. Spring officially begins although the snowy, blustery weather has been telling me differently. Here's a little photo diary of my life lately while I anticipate warmer and sunnier days...
Snapshot of my little collection of pins.
My second Groovebook which prints 100 of your photos and puts them into a book for $2.99
Playing with Sharpie Paint Pens in a composition notebook
Everyday rings and a fresh coat of paint on the nails
A throwback to when I lived in Philly. I miss you.
If you give me a Sharpie I will doodle on just about anything
A new tube of Baby Lips (which I am in love with) and another fresh coat of nail polish

Tearin' Up My Heart (& My Closet)

I've been slowly going through my wardrobe the last few weeks trying to purge unworn or worn out items. I still have t-shirts from when I was in grade school. Not even joking. I found an NSYNC t-shirt that I bought from their first major tour (no shame). I still have my uniform from when I was in high school (have I mentioned that I went to Catholic school for twelve years of my life?).
Anyway, I've also been going through my wardrobe to give new life to things that I love but have neglected. Here's some of the looks I've been conjuring up... <3
Striped tee + floral skirt + studded messenger bag + peep-toe booties + layered necklaces
Thrifted 90s button-up floral dress + drapey  cardigan + peep-toe booties + lariat necklace
Metallic lace tunic + white shirt + slouchy cropped pants + purple bag + peep-toe booties + layered pendant necklaces

Suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder? Ya me too. Here are some photos from a recent trip to warm and sunny Florida to help cope...

Hazy Memories...

Currently loving these gorgeous polaroids and the little notes the photographer places over some of them. The images are beautifully hazy and create such a dreamy mood that make those memories even harder to forget. All photos by emilie via Flickr.

And I'm back...

Obviously I'm really on top of maintaining this blog. CoughNOTcough.  My sincerest apologies. Life has been more hectic than expected up here in NEPA.

Anyway, I have been anxious to start my own terrarium after seeing a bazillion of them around the blogosphere. I had a pre-made one a while back but all the cute DIYs (like this one here or that one there) inspired me to create my own. I'm still on the hunt for a perfect glass container for these succulent babies (does that sound dirty to anyone else?). I'll be going on a thrifting adventure this week and I'm optimistic that just the right one is waiting for me to give it a home. So here's a little peek of what's to come when mine is finished.
