I really dig this time of year. The crisp nights, the breezy afternoons, the rich, saturated reds on all the trees. It's so beautiful. Everything is still trying to hold onto summer and I am not alone. I look forward to summer all year long so saying goodbye to it is bittersweet. So long summer, hello chunky knits, heavy luxe scarves and leather (or vegan if that's your thing) jackets.

May Daydreams
Summer is kinda almost here. It is Memorial Day weekend after all. Here in Northeast PA, we had a few days of incredible 80 degree weather and then today I woke up to temperatures in the 40s. Mother Nature cannot seem to make up her mind.
Nonetheless, summer plans are underway including a much needed trip down to Philadelphia to visit friends and enjoy all the beautiful things the city has to offer to help kick off the best season of the year.
Until then, here are some of my favorite photos from the last few weeks.

March on...
March is more than halfway over. Spring officially begins although the snowy, blustery weather has been telling me differently. Here's a little photo diary of my life lately while I anticipate warmer and sunnier days...

Free People Love

FP, how do I love thee... Let me count the ways...
Whenever Free People unveils their latest catalog, I fall in love all over again with the brand and its entire vibe (prettypleasehireme). July was absolutely no different, especially with these Lou-inspired looks modeled by Aline Weber (total babe). Being heavily inspired and influenced by my male counterpart and heavy metal music, I adore the touches of toughness that FP always incorporates into their looks and products... Inspiration to be a more badass chick always!

Summer..,
Happy longest day of the year!
The summer always puts me in mood to do things... frolic around catching lightning bugs, take a road trip to anywhere, cook on the grill, plant a beautiful garden, camp out under the stars.
I've been lucky enough to have already done these things before summer even started this year, so this summer is going to be reserved for things that I have never done before.
First on my list is go-karting. LivingSocial had a great deal in my area for a round of mini-golf, batting cages, and go-karting for two that only cost $15. I thought it was the perfect way for my beau and I to kick off what will be a kick-a$$ summer.
What are your plans for Summer 2012?

DIY!
One of my 2012 resolutions/goals/aspirations is to create more... Whether it's DIY, Photoshop, painting, whatever, as long as I'm using the creativity that's been bottled up inside of me for the last few months. So far I've actually kept this resolution. I've been opening up Photoshop and Illustrator every couple of days, and my sewing machine has not gotten much rest the last two weeks.
So when I saw this DIY for transforming a t-shirt, I had to try it. It seemed so easy, and with no sewing required, it literally was a 5-minute project.

Sigh..
| Philadelphia at dusk. Taken with my iPhone last spring. |
I miss Philadelphia. I am not giving up. I will return. I visit often but it's nothing like living there. It's the place where my man and I fell in love, where I discovered myself, the place I called home for more than six years. My dreams will come true and I will be back, Philly. My drive and passion will bring me back. I know it.

Twentytwelve
My New Year's Eve started with a nice cup of hot cocoa watching Parks and Recreation on Netflix...
Continued with something a little stronger...
And ended with a fried food feast from Sheetz...
Happy New Year, hoping it's filled with new beginnings and adventures!
